Delete Your Account

This page explains how to delete your account in the Halvy app (provided by Amboyance Inc.) and what happens to your data when you do. You can delete your account directly in the app, or request deletion by email.

Delete your account in the app

  1. Open the Halvy app and sign in.
  2. Tap the Settings tab.
  3. Under Account, tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm when prompted. Your account is deleted right away and this can’t be undone.

Tip: if you want a copy of your data first, use Settings → Export my data before deleting.

Request deletion by email

If you can’t access the app, email contact@amboyance.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my Halvy account.” We’ll verify your request and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

Your account & login: your sign-in identity, email address, and display name are permanently removed.

Your memberships & personal data: your group memberships, income settings, app preferences, and other data tied to your account are deleted.

What is kept

Shared group data: expenses, settlements, and receipts you added to a group that you share with other people remain visible to those members, because they are shared records of the group’s finances. After your account is deleted, this data is no longer linked to you.

Purchase records: subscription and purchase history is held by Apple or Google under their own policies. Manage or cancel a subscription through your App Store or Google Play account.

Timing & backups

Account deletion takes effect immediately. Residual copies in our encrypted backups are purged within 30 days.
